Available Wine Kits
Currently available online
are five starter kits that represent
but a portion of the grape varieties that Backyard Vineyards can
supply to you. We have American grapes and Vinifera varieties for all
climatic and cultural situations. These kits are intended to allow a
variety of wine choices in a small space. If you would like a specific combination
of vines, or would like to obtain information on the numerous other selections we have
available, please
e-mail us. You
should expect about six gallons of wine from each kit or approximately seventy to
eighty pounds of grapes for your table. When ordering vines for 2008
planting, please order between September of 2007 and February 1, 2008 in
order to receive vines in time for spring planting in your area. All
kits include top quality
trellising hardware (also
sold separately), detailed instructions on how to plant your vines, build
your trellising system, and how to prune and care for your grapes.
